college students trying to be foodies

About University Snax
As university students, we know how hard it can be to find time for the little things, especially time to eat.
That's why we created University Snax - a place for young adults to find tips and talk to other people their age who also care about food.
We hope to foster a sense of community and help spark joy in being active in life and in the kitchen.

About the bloggers

Hi I'm Megan! I'm a junior at UNT with an advertising major and minor in marketing. Health and fitness has always been a passion of mine, I played 2 varsity sports in high school and have contributed to be an avid runner in college. I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes and ways to be healthy! Currently I live at home and commute to school everyday, so I've had to get much more creative with meal prep! I can't wait to share all of my tips and tricks out with you all!

My name is Christine Laniyan, I'm an integrative studies (communications, journalism, and learning technologies) junior at UNT, and I love food. I love discovering all different types of food and anything I have tried before. So I figured University Snax was the perfect way to go. I love sharing what I do/know because one can never know everything. I hope this is a great experience and thanks for taking interest in University Snax!

Hey friends! I’m Madison and I am currently a student at UNT studying Advertising with a minor in Economics. I’m a mom to a 2-year-old little boy and I also run my own mobile business. My busy schedule is what kick started my passion for finding easy food recipes and executing them in a way that was functional for my schedule. Teaming up with University Snax has allowed me to share my passion with others and help other students along the way!

Hey y'all! My name is Violet and I'm a sophomore public relations and psychology double major at UNT. Food is something I've had a difficult relationship with, particularly because I have to be on a restrictive diet for my health. Adjusting to being gluten, soy, and peanut free while in a dorm and then transitioning to learning how to cook with those restrictions was hard. I'm learning to love it again, though, and that's part of why I'm so excited to be part of University Snax!
My name is Gavin Steele and I am a junior at the University of North Texas. I am majoring in PR and Advertising with a minor in Communication. I played competitive sports most of my life and even ran track for a Division 1 school. Because of this, I have always tried to eat healthy, workout, and take care of my body. It has inspired me to meal prep healthier snacks and dinner options for me. But since I am a college student, I am on a low budget with scarce time. I am truly trying to learn how to eat healthier with those two major factors I face daily, and I also want to help those who are trying to do the same as me.
